DENHAM SPRINGS — The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office responded to multiple crashes along I-12 eastbound and westbound as heavy rain fell across the capital region on Friday.

Louisiana drivers enjoy lowest gas prices since 2021

BATON ROUGE — Gas prices in Louisiana have dropped to their lowest levels since 2021, bringing relief to commuters around the state.

Timalisha Dixon, a postal worker who drives from Zachary to Baton Rouge six days a week, said the decline has already made a noticeable difference.

PORT ALLEN — La. 415 was closed going north near I-10 after an industrial pipe fell off a truck along the roadway Wednesday morning.

This was first reported around 9 a.m. The closure ended around 10:10 a.m.

BATON ROUGE — Southbound lanes of I-110 are blocked between North 9th Street and North Street after a truck's load of gravel spilled across the interstate.

The blockage, first reported around 9:30 a.m., caused traffic to be backed up to around Fuqua Street. 

According to state transportation officials and Baton Rouge Police, the blockage would be resolved by early afternoon.
