BATON ROUGE - In a bit of a quieter Thursday evening in terms of the number of games being played, Baker High and Plaquemine both came out with wins. The Buffaloes' 37-6 win over Belaire moved Baker to 6-1 on the season with a district record of 3-1.

Baker's only loss of the season so far was back in September to East Feliciana. They've won their three games since by 22, 30, and 29 points.

Plaquemine beat Tara 55-0 to move to 4-3 with a 3-1 district record, the first time the Green Devils have been above .500 this season since week one, after beating Zachary.

Plaquemine's only district loss on the season so far came last week against St. Michael, 28-27.
