TICKFAW — A bridge replacement starting Monday will close Old Genessee Road in Tangipahoa Parish for half a year.

Old Genessee Road will be closed approximately one mile east of U.S. 51 and about 0.4 miles west of La. 1065. 

The closure is expected to last approximately six months while crews replace the existing bridge with a new, safer structure.
