DONALDSONVILLE — Ascension Parish Government is hosting an open house for residents, business owners and commuters to learn about proposed roadway improvements in the area.

The event is set for Sept. 23 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Study Commons at the WAG Center, located at 1221 Maginnis St. in Donaldsonville.

The project includes plans to widen La. Highway 1/La. Highway 3089 to four lanes from Carwash Drive to La. Highway 405. It also calls for intersection upgrades at La. Highway 1 and La. Highway 405, including a new traffic signal and left-turn lane.

Attendees can review the proposed infrastructure plans, learn about the project timeline and speak with representatives about the planned improvements.

The open house is open to the public.
