BATON ROUGE — The East Baton Rouge Parish School System invited families and students to attend the Falling in Resources Community Resource Fair on Saturday at the Inspiration Center on Winbourne Avenue. 

The free event was designed to help families prepare for the upcoming school year by connecting them with local organizations. Those in attendance had the opportunity to learn about available programs and services to support student success throughout the school year. 

Representatives from various agencies, including Big Buddy, the Boys & Girls Club, before- and after-school program providers, tutoring services, and other organizations offering educational, enrichment and family support services were featured at the fair. 

"Preparing for a successful school year takes a strong partnership between our schools, families, and community," said Marlon Cousin, administrative director of Community Engagement for the EBR Schools Office of Communications and Public Relations.
