BATON ROUGE — LSU linebacker Whit Weeks fractured his leg on Saturday night as the Tigers pulled out a 35-6 win over Texas A&M, according to a report by On3. 

Weeks exited the game wearing a heavy walking boot and using crutches while walking back to the Tigers' locker room. 

"I have not been around this many significant injuries this early in the year," head coach Lane Kiffin said in a postgame interview. 

Tigers Dashawn Spears and Trey'Dez Green were both injured during Kiffin's return to Ole Miss, where he coached for six seasons before joining the Tigers this year. 

Matt Zenitz from CBS Sports reported that Weeks could possibly return in the next 4-6 weeks, but they won't know more until Weeks has surgery on Monday.

Weeks previously missed the final five games of the 2025 season due to a right ankle injury, which required offseason surgery.
