BATON ROUGE - In their first action since getting dropped out of the top 25 poll, LSU soccer took a 2-1 loss to Central Florida. For UCF, it's the Knights' second straight win against an SEC team, the first of which came against the Florida Gators last week.

The Tigers had their share of chances throughout the match; Ava Galligan threatened once in the first half on a shot that went just wide, but Sariyah Bailey led LSU in shots with four.

The lone Tiger goal of the evening came in the second half off the boot of Ava Amsden, her first goal of the season. With LSU trailing 2-0, an errant clearing attempt from the Knights found the foot of Amsden, and the junior midfielder fired from well outside the box to put the Tigers within one.

The Tigers have one game remaining in the home stand on Sunday, Aug. 23, against Florida Gulf Coast for their final home game in the month of August.
