Price Leblanc gives away $70,000 to HOPE Ministries to celebrate 70th anniversary
BATON ROUGE - For its 70th anniversary, Price Leblanc gave $70,000 to a group aiming to prevent homelessness.
HOPE Ministries was awarded the money by a community vote. HOPE Ministries is a group that aims to "promote self-sufficiency and dignity."
Price LeBlanc donated to 24 local charities, each benefiting the Greater Baton Rouge area in unique ways. From those 24 charities, seven were selected as finalists, and the community cast their votes in November and December. Each month’s top-voted charity received a $70,000 donation.
The November winner was Blue Star Moms. In addition to these contributions, Price LeBlanc also pledged $70 for every car sold during the campaign, allowing customers to choose which participating charity their donation supported. Every charity nominated received a donation.
