LAPLACE - Calling all fishermen!
The King Kat Tournament Trail, a traveling catfishing competition, is kicking off on Friday in Lac des Allemands.
In addition to the tournament, participants can enjoy local cuisine, live music, and family-friendly activities. Spectators are encouraged to come out and cheer on their favorite anglers.
On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the young fishers are participating in the King Kids Fishing Rodeo. Participation in the rodeo is free and includes opportunities to learn fishing techniques, practice casting skills, and compete for fun prizes.
