WBRZ Meteorologist Malcolm Byron speaks to elementary students at U-High for STEM Day
BATON ROUGE — Students at University Lab School took part in STEM Day with special presentations and learning experiences focused on science, technology, engineering, math and more.
As part of the event, WBRZ meteorologist Malcolm Byron spoke with fifth grade students about the science that goes into a weather forecast.
"But here at ULS, it's about more than science, technology, engineering and mathematics," said Elem. Principal Maegan Brown. "We really want to make this a day full of innovation and curiosity. We have anything and everything. We have Formula One race car drivers here. We have some representatives from Apple, Samsung, we have cybersecurity detectives and of course, we have some meteorologists here."
School officials say the day gave students different ways to engage with what they are learning.
