The pattern of warm, muggy air with daily pop-up storms will continue through Saturday. Temperatures will cool for Easter Sunday, but rain chances remain elevated.

Today & Tonight: This morning, expect muggy conditions with a few sprinkles possible. Jackets will not be needed, but make sure to bring an umbrella with you for later today. Showers, and a few storms will first begin to fire by the noon hour, and last through the evening. Scattered activity is expected, with about 50% of the 13 parish, 2 county wide viewing area picking up measurable rainfall. This means not everyone will see rain, and most should find a lot of dry time. Highs will reach near 86 degrees under a mix of sun and clouds. Overnight, rain will taper off, with lows settling near 67 degrees.

Up Next: Storms will remain in the forecast all the way through Easter Weekend. Thursday will have the potential to have a higher rain coverage thanks to an upper-level disturbance swinging through. Numerous activity is expected, with the main timeframe in the afternoon and evening. Warm and muggy conditions are not going anywhere, at least through Saturday.

Things get a little more interesting on Easter Sunday as a cold front enters the region. This should cool things down a bit, but rain could be slower to clear. Make sure you have an indoor "plan b" option if you do have outdoor plans. The exact timing of when the rain clears is a bit uncertain at this time, so make sure to check in often for updated info.
