BATON ROUGE - A pair of LSU guards earned preseason conference honors from the league’s media members on Monday as the Tigers prepare for Kim Mulkey's sixth season in Baton Rouge.

Mikaylah Williams was named to the preseason All-SEC First Team, while MiLaysia Fulwiley earned a spot on the Second Team .

LSU was picked to finish third in the SEC by a panel of conference and national media members, behind South Carolina and Texas.

Williams returns for her fourth season after averaging 14.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game last year. She earned First Team All-SEC honors and was an AP All-America honorable mention.

Fulwiley led LSU with 511 points last season and was named the SEC Sixth Woman of the Year for the second consecutive season.

The Tigers will host exhibition games against UNT Dallas on Oct. 22 and Loyola New Orleans on Oct. 29 before opening the regular season at home against the Southeastern Lions on Nov. 2.

Williams and Fulwiley will join Mulkey at SEC Media Days on Tuesday morning.
