BATON ROUGE - A week removed from getting dominated by St. Amant, Woodlawn football beat Brusly 43-40 in a see-saw thriller to move to 1-0 on the year. With the loss, Brusly moves down to 1-1.
Just about everything happened in this game. Jaylen Knox took a kick return for a touchdown, and Brusly broke out a wide receiver pass with the arm of Cam Carter.
Brusly led heading into halftime, but Woodlawn ended up pulling away to get their first win of the season. Woodlawn's next test of the year is another home game, but against Denham Springs.
In the meantime, Brusly faces Prairieville.
