WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge, the local ABC affiliate, is actively seeking a Part-Time Weekend Editor to join its award-winning news team, focusing on editing video content for both broadcast and digital platforms in a dynamic, fast-paced newsroom. This role requires proficiency in non-linear editing systems, with Edius experience preferred, to deliver timely and high-quality video for weekend newscasts and special projects while maintaining strong accuracy and detail under tight deadlines. The successful candidate must possess excellent teamwork skills, be dependable, available for weekend shifts and holidays, and be prepared to collaborate closely with producers, reporters, and photographers, with the potential need to fill in on weekdays as required. Sports Anchor/Reporter
WBRZ, the only family-owned TV station in Baton Rouge, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sports Anchor/Reporter to elevate our sports coverage across South Louisiana, from LSU and Southern to community Friday night lights. Sales Assistant
The Sales Assistant provides crucial administrative support for the Director of Sales and the Sales team by entering and maintaining advertising orders in the sales system, coordinating with traffic and production departments, assisting with client presentations and marketing materials, managing client communications, and handling special projects and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing sales orders and contracts
  • Generating client reports and ensuring accurate data entry and timely campaign launch
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office and media sales software, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role
  • Accurately input and maintain broadcast and digital advertising orders, and contracts into the station’s sales system

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and experience with media sales software (WideOrbit) is preferred
  • Organizational abilities and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with client, internal departments, and sales team
  • Ability to handle client inquiries and provide excellent service

Assistant News Director

Broadcast Meteorologist
We are seeking an experienced Broadcast Meteorologist to join our four-person weather team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about weather, confident in front of the camera, and skilled in interpreting and communicating complex meteorological data in an engaging manner. This person will produce daily forecasts on multiple platforms, including television, digital, and social media throughout the workday.  Knowledge of South Louisiana is a plus. Applicant Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science
  • 1 to 3 years of on-air experience as a Broadcast Meteorologist
  • Be qualified for AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal or NWA Seal of Approval
  • Familiarity with TWC Max platforms a plus

Reporter

WBRZ- TV is looking for a highly motivated and competitive business professional who is a self-starter to sell advertising solutions to local businesses including digital asset strategies.

  • Meet all revenue and new business goals for multiple entities.

Required Experience:
Ad sales experience is preferred, including knowledge of Comscore ratings, Power Point and other Windows-based software. A college degree and advertising sales experience is preferred.

Internships
WBRZ offers internships each semester in the following departments: News, Marketing, Information Systems, Production, Graphics, Sports, and Weather. Interns will experience firsthand the daily operations of the department and will perform various duties as assigned. Student must be enrolled in a station approved college/university and be approved by the college dean/advisor/chair to take an internship course for curriculum credit and grade.
