CENTRAL - This weekend, join the city of Central for two days of live music, good food and a ton of fun. 

The festival, Cooking in Central, will be held at "The Amazing Place" at 10305 Blackwater Road on Friday and Saturday. Attendees can look forward to a cook-off, live music all weekend, a car show, festival food and vendor setups. 

The mayor of Central, Wade Evans, visited 2une In Tuesday morning to preview the fun.

BATON ROUGE - Metro Council member Anthony Kenney is hosting a series of four listening sessions to reach out the members of his district and hear their suggestions and concerns.

The first of the listening sessions was held on Mar. 17. 

The rest of the sessions will be hosted Mar. 20 at Foster Road Baptist Church, Mar. 24 at Alsen BREC Recreation Center and Mar. 31 at Baker Branch Library. The sessions are from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m..

DENHAM SPRINGS - Starting Mar. 16, nationally known Evangelist Rick Gage will host a four-day "Crusade" at Yellow Jacket Stadium. 

The crusade will start at 7 p.m. each day at different churches in the Denham Springs area until Mar. 19.

Duck Dynasty's Al Robertson and Christian music artist Charles Billingsley will also be at the crusade for one night.
