NAPOLEONVILLE — Ten alleged child predators were arrested in an undercover operation led by the Attorney General's Office and the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office. 

As part of "Operation Bottom Dweller," law enforcement worked to identify and arrest people allegedly using electric or online platforms to sexually exploit minors. 

The AG's office said notable arrests include Malcolm Barnes III, a 35-year-old minister from New Iberia who has since been released on a $150,000 bond, and Lesli Joel Calix Sarmiento, a 36-year-old Honduran national living in Slidell who allegedly had sex with someone younger than 16. - Delmer Wesley Messer, 24, of Manchester, Ky.; charged with indecent behavior and computer-aided solicitation of a minor
- Shelton Smith, 24, of Scott; charged with indecent behavior and computer-aided solicitation of a minor
- John Bang, 60, of Vancleave, Miss.; charged with indecent behavior and computer-aided solicitation of a minor
- Lesli Joel Calix Sarmiento, 36, of Slidell; charged with indecent behavior and computer-aided solicitation of a minor, and held on a detainer for Homeland Security Investigations

- Chaz Michael Fromnethal, 32, of Metairie; charged with indecent behavior, computer-aided solicitation of a minor and illegal possession of stolen firearms

The AG's office said 16 Louisiana law enforcement agencies contributed to the operation and gave credit to its own Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. AG Liz Murrill said she has increased the size of the task force from eight to 80 members and also established partnerships with all 64 parish sheriffs.
