HAMMOND — An investigation into a May shooting at a Loranger trailer park led law enforcement to a stash of weapons and drugs, resulting in two arrests; however, the primary suspect remains at large.

In May, three people were injured in a shooting on North St. Charles Avenue, off Loranger Road. According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office, two groups of people got into an argument that escalated into multiple shots being fired.

Arrest warrants for aggravated assault were issued for Veronica Johnson, 50, and Jamarcus Johnson, 18, who allegedly brought the guns involved in the shooting. 

According to an FBI press release, Veronica Johnson was arrested by TPSO deputies last month. 

Earlier this week, task force agents searched for Jamarcus in a Hammond home on Turner Lane, but instead of the suspect found marijuana, cocaine and various pills as well as multiple guns. 

Two adults were arrested following the residence's search: 42-year-old Christopher Grayer of Independence was booked on two counts of possession of schedule II narcotics, possession of schedule IV narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia; 47-year-old Derrick Turner of Hammond was booked on one count of resisting an officer.
