ZACHARY — The City of Zachary will honor military service members next week with a multi-day tribute headlined by the arrival of the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall.

The memorial wall will be on display from Nov. 13 through Nov. 16, offering residents across the parish and surrounding communities a place to reflect, remember, and pay tribute to service members who lost their lives in the Vietnam War.

The commemorative weekend begins on Friday, Nov. 13, featuring a morning flag-raising ceremony followed by Zachary's annual Veterans Day parade through town.

City officials and event organizers encourage families, community groups, and veterans of all eras to participate in the procession and take part in the weekend’s commemorative events.

The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall will remain open to the public throughout its stay from Nov. 13 to Nov. 16. On Friday, Nov. 13, viewing will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Nov. 14-15, viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
