BATON ROUGE - Three 18-year-old LSU students were arrested after allegedly running over two ducks, taking selfies with them and then tossing the pair in garbage cans off of East Fraternity Circle. 

According to a report, Benjamin Peters, of Monroe, was driving Colin Doyle and John Hutchison, both of Lafayette, when he hit two Muscovy ducks on Wednesday, Sept. 16 shortly before 4 p.m. 

LSU Police Department said the men were caught on surveillance video taking pictures with the ducks before discarding them. The report said Peters and Doyle admitted to what happened. 

The three were arrested and issued a misdemeanor summons for animal cruelty.
