PORT ALLEN — Six students were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a school bus was involved in a crash Tuesday morning along La. 415 at Main Street in West Baton Rouge Parish, deputies said.

The crash, which happened around 6:45 a.m., appears to involve the bus and another vehicle.

By 7:40 a.m., the bus was moved out of the roadway. By 7:48 a.m., the car involved in the crash was also towed away.

The roadway was blocked, but cars were being directed around the crash, which happened near the median.

The crash involved a DS Bus South bus, which contracts its services across the state, including to schools in West Baton Rouge Parish.
