BATON ROUGE - At least one person is dead in a targeted shooting on Sycamore Street, officials told WBRZ.

Officials said they received the call around 9:24 p.m. on Wednesday. The shooting happened on 4500 Sycamore Street off Beechwood Drive.

WBRZ initially reported that the shooting resulted in one person being injured, but officials said that the coroner's office was called to the scene to investigate the shooting as fatal. 

Baton Rouge Police officials on the scene said the shooting was a result of an argument between two groups.

No other information was immediately available.
