NEW ROADS - A former New Roads Police officer and volunteer firefighter was convicted of raping multiple boys on Thursday and is now set to spend the rest of his life in prison.

Kedreyon Williams was arrested in July 2024 by the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office on charges of first-degree rape of a victim under 13, first-degree rape while armed with a dangerous weapon, indecent behavior with a juvenile and pornography involving a juvenile.

He was found guilty on three counts of first-degree rape, first-degree rape while armed with a dangerous weapon, indecent behavior with a juvenile and pornography involving a juvenile at the 18th JDC courthouse in New Roads after 40 minutes of deliberation by the jury.

Williams was a part-time officer at the New Roads Police Department from October 2017 to May 2019.

After his initial arrest, WBRZ reported that at least three victims under the age of 13 were raped.

"He was basically a wolf in sheep's clothing," Chief of Trials Chad Aguillard said following the verdict. "The young men involved in this can now move on and put their lives back together."

Williams will be sentenced on Nov. 12, but each first-degree rape charge carries a mandatory life sentence.
