Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership event to feature economic leaders and university presidents
BATON ROUGE — The Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership is holding its Annual Meeting, presented by Kean Miller, on Sept. 30 at L'Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge.
Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Susan Bourgeois and The Partnership's Acting Co-CEO Jayson Newell are set to discuss the state and Capital Region's economic development pipeline at the event.
Their conversation will cover projects gaining momentum across Louisiana, the industries driving investment and the competitive advantages positioning the Capital Region for long-term success.
LSU President Wade Rousse and Chancellor & Interim Southern University System President Orlando McMeans will also take part in a separate discussion moderated by The Partnership's Acting Co-CEO Trey Godfrey.
That conversation will focus on how university and industry partnerships are advancing research, fostering entrepreneurship, attracting talent and translating new ideas into long-term economic growth.
Check-in and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch and programming from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will celebrate the culmination of BRING IT!, The Partnership's five-year strategic plan, while looking ahead to the next chapter of growth for the Capital Region.
