HAMMOND — A funeral home in Hammond will host two October events to mark a newly completed expansion and 20 years of service.

According to Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, the 7,000-square-foot expansion adds a dedicated cremation facility, the Life Celebration Center, more space for families and a new arrangement suite.

The funeral home will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Oct. 22 in Hammond. The public event will include tours of the expanded facility.

It will also host a Community Care Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Oct. 27 for clergy, funeral service professionals and other community partners who support families during times of loss.
