ST. GABRIEL — One person was taken into custody after a St. Gabriel police officer was stabbed to death in his home, Iberville Sheriff Brett Stassi told WBRZ Sunday morning. 

The officer was found stabbed to death in his home this morning, according to the sheriff. 

Stassi said the officer was involved in an argument that led to the stabbing.

Deputies have a suspect in custody.
