HAMMOND - One juvenile was taken into custody and another was taken to a hospital following a shooting in Hammond on Wednesday. 

The Hammond Police Department said one person was shot on South Mooney Avenue and taken to a hospital, where they are in critical but stable condition. 

The alleged shooter was taken into custody and detained at the Florida Parishes Juvenile Justice District. 

HPD said that the FBI's Gang Task Force assisted in the investigation.
