KILLIAN — The Town of Killian has introduced the newest member of the Killian Police Department, which was previously disbanded.

Vicki Corkern was named police chief in November 2025, bringing more than 36 years of law enforcement experience to the role. 

The town welcomed Officer Randall Kelley, who was sworn in on Sept. 22. Kelley has prior experience as a patrolman, detective and member of a Special Response Team.

WBRZ previously reported on Kelley when he was fired from the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office after he conducted a search at a home without a warrant. 

The town previously disbanded the police force due to long-running financial problems. Voters approved of a public safety tax in June to bring back the department.
