SPRINGFIELD — A local pastry shop in Springfield was searched by law enforcement and found to be operating as a drug distribution hub, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office.

On Aug. 12, agents with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division assisted the Louisiana State Fire Marshal in obtaining a search warrant for Navarre's Pastries.

"Upon executing the search warrant, agents uncovered a distribution hub for various narcotics including cocaine, MDMA and Adderall," Sheriff Jason Ard said.

Agents seized roughly 42.8 grams of suspected cocaine, 394 dosage units of Adderall, four dosage units of Vyvanse, two dosage units of alprazolam, one dosage unit of diazepam, 200 dosage units of suspected MDMA and six dosage units of anabolic steroids. They also recovered one vial of anabolic steroids, one vial of nandrolone and 52 firearms, one of which had been reported stolen through the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office. About $3,550 in cash was also found and is pending seizure.

Jules Navarre, 43, was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center. He faces 52 counts of possessing a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, one count of possessing a stolen firearm and multiple counts of possessing drugs with intent to distribute across several drug schedules. He also faces a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia.
