SATSUMA — A driver was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries after a five-vehicle crash along I-12 westbound near Satsuma on Monday morning.

Louisiana State Police responded to the crash just before 2 a.m. The crash involved four passenger vehicles and a commercial vehicle.

The crash saw traffic diverted at exit 22. The roadway has since reopened.
