BATON ROUGE — A "major announcement" about the future of both downtown Baton Rouge and the Raising Cane's River Center will be made on Wednesday.

The announcement will be made at City Hall, a spokesperson from Mayor-President Sid Edwards' office said.

No further details were provided. 

Last month, officials officially unveiled the Baton Rouge Kingfish, the River Center's new hockey team.
