BATON ROUGE — One person is dead, and eight others are injured following a multi-vehicle pile-up that occurred on Sunday afternoon near the intersection of North Foster Drive and Prescott Road in Baton Rouge. 

The multi-vehicle crash occurred around noon, leaving one person dead and eight others injured, according to emergency officials. 

The conditions of those injured are not known at this time. It is unclear what caused the crash.
