BATON ROUGE — Police are looking for a brother and sister duo who allegedly brought a gun to a vigil at Southern University Lab School. 

An arrest warrant shows 17-year old Kailen Wheelock and her brother Kamren Wheelock, 20, are accused of carrying a firearm on school property. Kamren Wheelock also faces a terrorizing charge.

Kailen Wheelock went to a candlelight vigil on Wednesday in remembrance of a Southern Lab student, according to the warrant. The warrant says Kailen Wheelock was "unwanted at the vigil due to a prior conflict involving the deceased student and others." 

She got involved in an altercation with several other people and allegedly got angry and grabbed onto a gun that was tucked into her clothes before pulling it out and passing it off to her brother. 

"The firearm was described as having some type of orange-colored band, wrap or material attached to it," the warrant said.

As a police officer was trying to remove Kailen Wheelock from the event, several people came running towards the officer, yelling that a male subject—later identified as Kamren Wheelock—had a gun and was threatening people.

The day after the vigil, witnesses told an investigator that Kamren Wheelock left the event in a white pickup truck, yelling threats at people.

He allegedly said, "Y'all lucky I don't blow this b---- up," and "Tell your little people, if I see them at school tomorrow, I'm going to shoot this b---- up."

The officer reportedly did not see Kamren Wheelock with the gun or hear his alleged threats, as his focus was on removing the sister from the disturbance, the warrant states. 

Neither sibling had been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison as of Friday afternoon.
