ALBANY — A stretch of Byng Street in Albany will be closed for about a week for subsurface drainage system maintenance.

Albany Police said Monday that the road will be closed between La. 43 and Bartich Street.

"Please be cautious of maintenance workers in that area," police said.

This area has had similar work done on it in the past, officials added.

Police said that no one lives on that section of road, but it used to access Albany Elementary School.
