LAPLACE — A box truck drove off the Bonnet Carre Spillway near LaPlace on Thursday morning, shutting down the two left lanes going eastbound as crews work to recover it. 

The crash happened near mile marker 210 and was first reported at 11:19 a.m.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured or what caused the crash.
