Officials say effective immediately, all outdoor open burning is prohibited throughout West Baton Rouge Parish, including the burning of leaves, grass, limbs, yard debris and other combustible materials.
Exemptions to the burn ban include lawful agricultural burning, prescribed burning and contained cooking or recreational fires within proper fire pits or enclosures, as permitted under Louisiana law.
