ZACHARY — A 17-year-old from Zachary was found after being reported missing earlier this week, Louisiana State Police said, and reports say a Kentucky man was arrested for allegedly kidnapping her.

LSP initially sent out a Level II endangered/missing child alert around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, but canceled it Wednesday morning after the teen was found. Family members said on Facebook that she was kidnapped and found in Oklahoma.

According to a Texas media outlet, Michael Daniel Jay, a 38-year-old truck driver from Kentucky, was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly kidnapping the teenager. 

He is reportedly awaiting extradition to Louisiana and faces a kidnapping charge.
