OXFORD — Tickets to watch Ole Miss take on LSU are shaping up to be the most expensive in Ole Miss football history, according to Yahoo Sports.
The price surge is being driven in part by Lane Kiffin returning to Oxford for the first time as LSU's head coach, after six seasons coaching Ole Miss.
On SeatGeek, the cheapest available ticket is $461, located in Section K on the visitors side. A seat in Section C on the home side, closer to the field, is going for more than $2,800.
Suite tickets are not coming in at anything less than $4,400.
Hotel availability in Oxford for the weekend is nearly gone on major booking sites. Hotels may still have rooms if contacted directly, but vacation rentals are running anywhere from $1,500 to more than $4,000 for the weekend.
That's before factoring in gas, food, parking or a $600 game ticket.
Saturday marks the 115 meeting between Ole Miss and LSU in a rivalry known as the Magnolia Bowl. Ole Miss won last year's game 24 to 19.
Kiffin left Ole Miss for LSU in the offseason, making this his first time facing his former team at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
