MORGAN CITY — Two people were arrested for allegedly stabbing a person during an armed robbery early Saturday morning in Morgan City. 

According to the Morgan City Police Department, officers located a victim suffering from a stab wound along Highway 182 early Saturday morning.

First responders rendered aid to the victim before the person was airlifted to a hospital for further treatment. 

During the investigation, detectives learned that the victim was allegedly stabbed during a robbery, with 26-year-old Kloey Culliver of Patterson and 29-year-old Damarcus McNeal of Franklin being identified as suspects. 

Culliver was arrested and booked into the Morgan City Police Department on Saturday for attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery.

McNeal, who originally fled the scene, was arrested on Sunday for attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery.

The investigation remains ongoing.
