BJ's Wholesale Club could be coming to Gonzales, report say
GONZALES — A wholesale club could be coming to Gonzales if the city council votes to create an economic development district along Veterans Boulevard, the Baton Rouge Business Report writes.
BJ's Wholesale Club is considering Gonzales as the site of its first Louisiana location as part of a proposed $47 million development near I-10. According to the Business Report, the membership-based warehouse retailer is eyeing a large vacant tract north of Waffle House along La. 30 in an area across from Tanger Outlets.
Business Report notes the land has not been purchased by BJ's.
A public hearing and vote for the economic development district are scheduled for Oct. 12.
