BRPD arrests now-fired East Baton Rouge Parish Prison employee accused of rape
BATON ROUGE — An East Baton Rouge Parish Prison employee has been arrested by Baton Rouge Police for alleged rape.
Rashie McDowell, 40, was arrested Tuesday on third-degree rape charges.
After the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office learned about the alleged rape, McDowell was fired from his position at the parish prison. He has worked at the sheriff's office since 2018, a spokesperson said.
