ST. GABRIEL — Iberville Parish authorities said they are investigating the homicide of a St. Gabriel police officer on Sunday morning.

Sheriff Brett Stassi told WBRZ the officer was found stabbed to death in his home this morning.

Stassi said the officer was involved in an argument that led to the killing.

Deputies have a suspect in custody.
