NAPOLEONVILLE — La. 1010 in Assumption Parish will be closed for another week as crews conduct bridge maintenance, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development said on Wednesday. 

Construction on the bridge began Sept. 17 and was originally scheduled to end Sept. 25. The bridge will now be closed until Oct. 7, and both lanes of traffic will remain closed off. 

A detour has been established; DOTD asks drivers to travel north four miles on La. 1 or La. 308 to Franklin Avenue, and south about three miles on La. 1 or La. 308 to La. 1011.
