Leaders for a Better Louisiana weighs in on each constitutional amendment on November ballot
BATON ROUGE — Leaders for a Better Louisiana released its analysis and recommendations on 10 constitutional amendments set for the November 3 ballot.
The group supports Amendments 1, 2, 5, 7 and 10, opposes Amendments 6, 8 and 9 and is neutral on Amendments 3 and 4.
Better Louisiana said it developed its positions using four principles: treating the constitution as a framing document for governance, taking unnecessary provisions out of it, clearing the way for good policy and resisting new restrictions that limit local governments' flexibility in managing fiscal affairs.
Voters have rejected all nine constitutional amendments placed on the ballot over the last two election cycles. The last time an amendment was approved was in December 2024.
