GEISMAR — A new 200,000-square-foot distribution facility is coming to Ascension Parish off La. 30. 

The development, announced Tuesday by Ratcliff Development and JRE Capital, will be built in the early 200-acre Magnolia Ridge Logistics Park. 

The JRE and Ratcliff building will be the first building in the park and serve as the first phase of a planned multi-building development serving the petrochemical, logistics, warehousing and industrial service sectors. Construction is set to begin in the first quarter of 2027. 

"This project represents the next step in delivering high-quality industrial infrastructure at Magnolia Ridge Logistics Park," Gregg Thompson, President of Ratcliff Development, said in a statement. "As the first phase of a larger development plan, it establishes a foundation that can support existing local operators and growing industrial users."
