ZACHARY — A home along Shellmire Lane in Zachary caught fire Tuesday, with firefighters putting the blaze out within 20 minutes of arriving. 

According to the Zachary Fire Department, the fire broke out around 3:15 p.m. When firefighters arrived, they found a single-story home with heavy flames and smoke. 

The department's drone unit was utilized to keep an eye on the fire from above as crews put it out. 

Fire crews from the Baker and Baton Rouge departments also assisted in putting out the fire.
