ST. FRANCISVILLE — A parish-wide burn ban in West Feliciana was lifted on Tuesday.

The parish has had a burn ban in effect since Aug. 21 due to extreme heat and dry conditions. West Feliciana's burn ban was the fourth in the area, following Tangipahoa, St. Helena and East Feliciana. The bans in St. Helena and East Feliciana remain active.

The West Feliciana Emergency Operations Center urges residents to continue burning cautiously and to monitor conditions in the area.
