CENTRAL — Greenwell Springs Road was reopened Tuesday afternoon after being fully blocked near Lighthouse Avenue due to a "major" crash, according to Central Police. 

Police are asking motorists to use an alternate route.

The crash was first reported around 11:30 Tuesday morning. It was not immediately clear if anyone was hurt.

The collision was a head-on crash involving a propane truck, which officials said was not the vehicle at fault, but due to the crash, the steering of the car is now broken.

The road was reopened around 2:30 p.m.
