BATON ROUGE — The Louisiana Art and Science Museum will present a George Rodrigue exhibition in August celebrating his life and legacy.

The exhibition, titled Reflections: The Art of George Rodrigue, opens on Aug. 15 at 10 a.m., runs through Aug. 25 and will be accompanied by educational programming, public lectures, docent training and family-friendly lectures. Special guided tours and classes will also be available. 

"Reflections creates a space where visitors can explore memory, identity, and perspective through the unique ‘canvases’ of one of Louisiana's most recognizable artists," Director of Art Programs, Tracey Barhorst, said.
