Assumption man arrested for violating protective order 171 times
NAPOLEONVILLE — A Pierre Part man was arrested on Wednesday for reportedly violating a protective order 171 times.
Trey Allen Duet, 27, was arrested by the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office for repeatedly attempting to contact a previous partner with whom he had a domestic dispute.
Duet was initially arrested in August on felony charges following a domestic incident. After his first arrest, a protective order was issued. Police say they served this order directly to Duet.
During a follow up investigation, police determined that Duet tried to contact his former partner 171 times.
He was charged with 171 counts of violating a protective order and his bond was set at $35,000.
