EBR Office of Social Services announces temporarily-adjusted walk-in intake hours
BATON ROUGE — The Department of Human Development and Services' Office of Social Services in East Baton Rouge Parish will be temporarily adjusting its walk-in intake hours for the next two weeks.
Between Aug. 24 and Sept. 4, the hours will be adjusted to support the office in efficiently responding to an increased demand for utility assistance services and apply to both crisis and non-crisis walk-ins, the mayor's office says.
The new hours are as follows:
Monday and Tuesday:
8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Regular walk-in hours (Mondays - Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Only)
Wednesday and Thursday:
8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Temporary reduced hours
Regular walk-in hours are expected to resume Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Any applicants visiting the office for utility assistance should be sure to bring copies of the following documents:

Proof of income for all household members
Most recent utility bill
Proof of residence
